Our holiday home offers accommodation for up to 14 people.

  • Living room and dining room

    The living room is bright and spacious. A long table invites you to dinner or to play a boardgame. A cozy sitting area completes this beautiful open space perfectly.

  • Family room

    Our family room with fireplace is cozy and classic. It invites you to gather here and talk and enjoy each other’s company, or just to sit and read a book. A room with a colonial touch with Buffalo leather, wicker armchairs and with a magnificent view over the valley.

  • Wood-burning stove

    The living room is equiped with a wood-burning stove. We supply wood free of charge.

  • Fully equipped kitchen

    The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker with 4 hobs, conventional oven and micro-wave oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker and all crockery and utensils.

  • Terrace

    Immediately to the kitchen and living room there is a lovely covered terrace, which is used a large part of the year. There is a teak table and teak chairs.

  • Garden

    The holiday home has a private enclosed garden of 2000 m2, a pétanque terrain and a swing. In the meadow walk our donkeys and sheep.

  • Wi-Fi

    Plugin to our free Wi-Fi during your stay.

  • “Suite”-type bedrooms (3)

    Three bedrooms are of the “suite”-type and have a double bed and a seating area. On the ground floor there is a third double suite bedroom. This room has a sitting area, bathroom and private terrace.

  • Bedroom 4 people

    This room has 2 bunk beds, so there you can sleep with 4 persons.

  • Bathrooms (3)

    One bathroom has a large walk-in shower and a bathtub, the other bathroom has a bath tub that also can be used as a shower. In both bathrooms there is a double sink. Downstairs there is a third bathroom with shower and sink.

  • Toilets (4)

    There is one toilet on the ground floor in the hall and two toilets on the first floor. The bedroom on the ground floor has it’s own toilet.

  • Parking

    In front of the farm you can safely park your car (for free).

  • Private entrance

    There is a private walking path along the farm to the holiday home, so you don’t have to cross the domain of the owners to get there.

TESTIMONIALS

Great location in the middle of the rolling fields, tastefully decorated, cozy wood fire. On top of that a unique atmosphere in our “group” and radiant weather! Life is beautiful!

We have enjoyed our two weeks here very much. The Zuiderhuis is very comfortable – a real home from home-. We settled in very easily and enjoyed the peacefull surroundings. We have liked exploring the local area, particularly the markets and the small villages. It has also been really easy to use the train to travel to Gent, Brugge, Antwerp and Brussels. Thanks for a very pleasant and relaxing stay. We would certainly like to return again some day.

This has been a memorable weekend. The accomodation is excellent with lots of character. The view is very pretty and the sheep and donkeys add to it. The cats are very friendly and we just managed not to fall for their charms. It is a very interesting area and the chocolates are irresistable ! We hope to come back again and spend longer next time.

We have had a great time on the Petrus Wittebrood Farm. It is very comfortable and we soon felt at home. We have also had wonderful weather which has added to the beautiful surroundings. The house is well-equipped and beautifully restored and lived up to our expectations. We’ve enjoyed the jeu de boules and saw lot of frogs on the walk. The donkeys have been very entertaining. This is a good base for visiting Belgium and we will recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting this country.

We had a great weekend. Everything was there to make it an everlasting memory.  The guesthouse, the whole domain is very beautiful. As our daughter said: “Two days is far too short, next time we will have so many days” (on which she put 2 full hands in the air). Good luck and until the next time.

 

First and foremost, we want to thank you for our stay! The silence and peace have given us a lot of virtue. In short, this was the ideal place to escape from the daily hustle and bustle! We were very charmed by the environment. As far as the farm is concerned, there is only one word: beautiful!
